Crabe

Residential project, Brussels - 2026
Pictures by Adrien Maurice

Crabe is a residential family home conceived as a warm and cohesive living environment. The project explores the balance between openness and intimacy, as the living spaces can be either fully connected or separated, forming a continuous and luminous sequence structured by concrete floors.

To soften this mineral base and bring a sense of unity, wood became a central element of the intervention. A dialogue between sapelli and walnut unfolds throughout the house, creating a rhythmic continuity that ties the different spaces together and reinforces the feeling of a whole.

Particular attention was given to the sensorial quality of the interiors. A rich palette of materials introduces depth and tactility: green velvets, butter-yellow linens, and carefully placed mirrors that amplify natural light. Stones of varying textures and tones punctuate the different rooms, enhancing the identity of each space while maintaining a coherent atmosphere.

The result is a home that feels both structured and inviting a space where materiality, light, and flexibility come together to support everyday family life.
